The evening was bitter cold and one had to be careful not to slip on the muddy,
torch-lit way to Liedberg castle. Brightly illuminated was only the tower hall, in which a small crowd of approximately 50 guests waited for the appearance of the Spilwîp Maria and the knightly bard Markward, Pfeil
of Elberfeld, of the group Wünnespil, who provided the evening entertainment with harp and lute. The guests felt quickly displaced from the year 2000 back in the 14th century.
